Which is Likely to Come First? 
You being replaced by a robot? Or a robot being replaced by you, a human being?

Don’t be too sure you know the answer!

Yes, we know there are robots already out there. Yes, robots are already operating in our vicinity. Ha ha—that’s how you know it! Then, all of a sudden, a sentence repeats itself in a slightly different format! Just joking—I’m writing this all by myself.

So of course, we’re looking to embrace the functions of AI everywhere that work for us. It’s not as prevalent in our part of the media world (asset sales), but it does do some tedious tasks.

Bottom line: That AI robot will never replace you/us! Sales in our part of the media world involve specific problem-sharing and solving, or solutions-selling on behalf of our publisher clients to our marketer clients, who are looking to address their best customers through our media assets. That requires collaboration. That requires a highly specific nuanced approach to linking up buyers with sellers.

 
Further, selling requires some negotiation—actually a lot! Only highly skilled real people are capable of that. This is where two humans work to reach agreement on price, on deliverables, and other aspects of a business contract.
 
And as we always say, “the outcome of a good negotiation is when two people walk away from it saying, ‘damn, I’m good!'” Only you can accomplish that. That’s beyond the scope of work for a robot.
So hang in there, my fellow humans. Vow to do what you do best, and you can let the robots do some of that laborious stuff you didn’t wanna do anyway!
